This great place, has been around over 50 years and is family run. We visited with the Kennish family and had a great time.

The bears are American Black Bears, and the park started with orphan bears. The thing that struck me was the condition of the bears on display... glossy coats and happy.

We were told during this show that there are 4,500 Black bears in New Hampshire, that their average life expectancy in the wild is 4-5 years whereas these happy bears might expect to live anything up to 38 years. So I guess these people are doing something right.

The bears came in one at at time and with care and a little ice cream went through their routines.  It is astonishing how agile they are.  Dare I say it - they are a little more intelligent that doggies.  Ours especially.

At no time did any of these bears seem to be doing anything other than playing.
